Shipment milestones

What each status actually means

Every AV booking is tracked against the same milestones, so you always know which stage the cargo has reached and who is responsible for the next move.

  • Booking confirmed

Space is secured with the carrier and your coordinator is assigned.

  • Cargo picked up

Collected from your premises and moving to the port, ICD or airport.

  • Export cleared

Shipping bill filed and let-export order obtained from customs.

  • In transit

On board the vessel or aircraft. Estimated arrival is confirmed and updated.

  • Arrived & import cleared

Bill of entry filed at destination, duty paid and cargo released.

  • Delivered

Last-mile delivery completed and proof of delivery shared with you.

Common questions

Your AV reference appears on the booking confirmation email and on the house bill of lading or air waybill. It follows the format AVIL-YYYY-NNNNNN. You can also track with the carrier's master B/L, AWB or container number.

Ocean shipments update at each carrier milestone: gate-in, loaded on board, transhipment and arrival. Air shipments update per flight leg. Inland movements are GPS-tracked and can be checked at any time by our desk.

During an ocean transit or a transhipment wait, several days without a new milestone is normal. If the delay is unexpected, we contact you before you have to ask. If you would like a check anyway, call the shipment desk.

Yes. We can configure milestone email alerts per booking or per account, including alerts to your customer at destination. Ask your coordinator to enable it.
